We have a fleet of BMW GS motorcycles available for hire - Bike hire subject to availability.
N.B. your bike of choice is not guaranteed until we have received your deposit for the motorcycle hire.Some bikes have a low seat option - please enquire.
All hire bikes are supplied with side panniers with adequate capacity to carry your clothes and belongings.
You may leave excess luggage at our hotel in Reykjavik to be collected at the end of the tour.

Exclusions: flights, airport transfers out with the designated tour start/end dates, cost of delivering and collecting your motorcycle to/from the UK & Icelandic ports, freighting of your motorcycle (please call us for details), insurance excesses, any additional storage charges incurred by the shipping agent for dropping off your bike early or collecting it outwith the required dates, optional excursions & sightseeing trips, petrol, tolls, lunches and dinners, all beverages, tips to waiters etc, travel & breakdown insurance, costs associated with breakdown & recovery or injury to yourself, entrance fees to visitor attractions, costs associated with late arrivals/catching up with the tour group, motorcycle hire & all associated costs if applicable
How do I go about shipping my motorcycle to Iceland?
We assist you with all phases of the shipping process - Freighting costs will vary depending on the value of your motorcycle and currency fluctuations at time of booking (please call us for details). Freighting costs are not included in the holiday price.
Your bike is shipped as is. It is loaded into a shipping container, secured, and padded with air bags for protection. You may ship your bike with panniers fully packed and bike ready to ride once it arrives in Iceland (windscreen and mirrors are left in place!)
On booking you will receive a detailed shipping package to include Customs Paperwork, Manifest samples, Documentation list, Details of our shipping agent, KitList, etc.
Approximately 7 days prior to the start of the tour you will take your motorcycle to the port for shipping from UK to Iceland.
Approximately 7 days AFTER the end of your trip your motorcycle will be ready for you to collect from the port.
How far do we ride each day?
Distances vary from 100 to 200 miles on the tour. A typical day's riding starts at 9am and we reach our destination around 4pm - providing plenty of time to relax and explore the numerous points of interest.
How large is the island and what are the people like?
Iceland is 39,768.5 sq mi.
It is a country which is deceiving in size and it is surprising how much time it takes to explore all of it wonders and mysteries.
The Icelandic people are welcoming and most speak English.
What is the weather in Iceland likely to be?
The weather in Iceland is not unlike that in Scandinavia - You will have to be prepared for anything - wind, rain, fog, sun, cold, and heat. Temperatures may vary 5-20C.
Can I take a pillion (passenger)?
Yes you may take a pillion (passenger) on this tour which is 95% paved and 5% easy hard packed gravel roads. Accommodation on this tour is in comfortable Hotels & Guest Houses.
How many riders in the group?
Our groups are normally 8-10 riders. Typically our groups consist of 2 to 3 couples and several solo riders.
Is Bike Hire available?
Yes we do have BMW GS bike hire available for our more Road oriented tours in Iceland. Please select this option at time of booking to secure your hire bike.
Are flights included?
Flights are not included in the tour price. There are several low cost carriers providing passenger services to Iceland - flight times from UK are normally less than 2 hours. If you are flying from outside UK flight times will be longer - Please contact us for details.
What Experience do I need?
Our Road tour is 95% Tarmac and 5% easy gravel tracks. You should be an experienced rider and confident riding a large capacity motorcycle (with luggage) on tarmac and easy gravel tracks.
Is this tour run by Wildcat Adventures?
Absolutely! All our tours are organised and led by John & Brigitte of Wildcat Adventures - we do not subcontract ANY of our tours!
